The St. Joseph Religion program begins in the 3 year old class. Children are taught prayers and learn about God’s world around them and they begin to understand God’s love. As the children grow with us, so also does the Religion program. It is integrated throughout the curriculum and emphasizes formational growth as well as content knowledge.

Our spiritual journey includes morning prayers, student lead First Friday Mass, Holy Day liturgy, and seasonal celebrations with an emphasis on Catholic values.
Our students use the Sadlier Religion series,
WE BELIEVE. While children in grade pre k through 4 are taught religion by their homeroom teacher, the upper school classes (5-8) are taught by Mrs. Daisy Abruzzo. The Archdiocese of New York Essential Learnings in Religion provides our standards for knowledge and formation. In June of each year grades 3-8 take the Archdiocese Religion Exam.
Catholic identity is the focus in Catholic education today. Our program fosters the spiritual growth of each student and prepares him/her to lead and serve as Jesus taught them.
