DIVERSITY
One of the amazing qualities of our school is how diverse we have become over the years. We have educated children of all faiths, including Baptist, Muslim, Protestant, Lutheran, and Episcopalian. The great respect we have for one another is evident in how our children interact with each other, their teachers, and visitors.

GEOGRAPHICS
We have evolved from a small town school to one that now serves seven school surrounding school districts, Millbrook, Arlington Webutuck, Dover, Hyde Park, Rhinebeck, and Pine Plains, as we are the only Catholic School in eastern Dutchess County.

ACADEMICS
In addition to the core curriculum our students participate in Art, Music, Physical Education, Computer, Library, Integrated Algebra 8 and 8th Grade Spanish.

Our 8th grade algebra class took the regents exam in June. The grade range was 88 to 96%.

Our student performance on state and archdiocese mandated tests are excellent. We are proud of our 8th graders who have been accepted into Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Millbrook Prep School, Hotchkiss School, Kent School and JFK Catholic High School.

Our graduates also have a 99.9% graduation rate from college.

In 2008 year we participated in the Our Lady of Lourdes Scholastic Olympics. Of the nine participating Catholic Schools, St. Joseph placed 3rd overall, with one of our students achieving 2nd place for Social Studies, and another for Math.

We owe this to our excellent teaching staff. These dedicated women go above and beyond to meet the needs of our children from pre-k 3 through 8th grade. Several of our teachers have been teaching here for 20 years and many others ten years or more. Students, parents and teachers agree we are unique and ‘a great place to be’ while living the gospel message.
